Callahan Management asked SK2 to design a desk that would act as a functional sculpture in the soon to be renovated front lobby of 410 17th St.

The new design used natural marble to compliment the existing granite walls and tiles, but in a bright contrast to these materials so the desk becomes a visual focus and presence for security in the lobby.

The sleek forms of the desk allow for video screens to be shielded from patrons while also incorporating low height walls for the security personal to see and be seen from both outside entrance to the lobby.
